You don’t need to be a virtuoso to be an amazing singer, musician and/or artist. While having a level of technical competency can have an impact, the finish line will never show up. Therefore, if we all waited for the right level of technical proficiency, none of us would ever put ourselves out there!
Don’t be afraid to be creative, to be vulnerable, to express yourself. Use that story that nobody knows! Describe it through someone else, maybe their perspective!
Was it a happy story? Sad story? Let the notes decide. Let the volume and dynamics rise and fall, showcasing the peaks and valleys of the story.
Some of the best songs/pieces ever written were simple arrangements! You can use a simple arrangement to describe a complex feeling and us-the listener, will understand. We will appreciate it. We will feel it.
